She is known for her work with MGM in successful movies such as Boom Town (1940), Come Live with Me (1941), Ziegfeld Girl (1941), Her Highness and the Bellboy (1945). David B. Eskind (1909-1992), a radio scriptwriter and producer, was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He studied writing under Thornton Wilder at the University of Chicago, from which he graduated in 1934. For the next several years he wrote radio scripts for NBC and CBS. During World War II he served in the Army in the Pacific as a writer-producer of Army education and information programs.
